Originally built as a Howard Johnson’s, the building was constructed in 1960 with a 30-year projected lifespan. Nearly 60 years later, the America’s Best Value Inn was due for an update.
With the America’s Best Value Inn demolished, the Best Western began to take shape. The 81 room-three story hotel offers guests an indoor pool, fitness center and business center. Most notably, the breakfast room is located on the third floor, offering guests a beautiful panoramic view of Pickett’s Charge and Soldiers’ National Cemetery.
The 47,278 square foot hotel primarily consists of a wood interior framing and the exterior structure is thin brick and manufactured stone. This project was completed in 11 months.
