Since 1966, Brechbill & Helman Construction Co. has stayed true to its core values based on honesty, quality, and integrity, all while maintaining a high level of safety, for both employees and clients alike.

Founded by Darrell Brechbill and John Helman, two fellow carpenters hitched their wagon to a dream to achieve something bigger. Starting with only 3 employees, and a few small residential construction projects, Darrell and John grew the company, built a strong team, and established themselves a staple in the construction industry. Over the next several decades, B&H continued to grow and transitioned our market sectors to become more focused on commercial, industrial, healthcare, hospitality and education, while expanding our service area to cover PA, MD, WV, and VA.

B&H continued to grow and evolve, and in 1999, John and Darrell showed their commitment to those who helped them become successful by transitioning the company to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Today, we are 100% employee owned. By 2010, John and Darrell were in the process of transitioning out of their leadership roles with the company, appointing a new President/CEO in Mike Kissel, and new CFO in Barb Runyon.

In 2022, Matt Dice was appointed COO, adding to the Leadership Team of Mike and Barb. All 3 have shown their value by working their way up through the ranks, to now lead this company into the future. To this date, John and Darrell remain as part of the Board of Directors and continue to support the growth and expansion of the company.
