Doey’s House is a new $4.9 million inpatient, 12 bed facility in Washington County, Maryland.
The construction consisted of all wood and was fit out with many amenities. The programming for the facility included a family room with vaulted ceilings, a small commercial kitchen, meditation room, offices, chapel and counseling rooms. The attributes stretched beyond the walls of the building, the site contains of a therapeutic garden, walking trails and extensive landscape.
Exterior porches were constructed for each unit making this hospice feel more like home. Engraved pavers were also installed in three separate locations on site as a unique feature for this extraordinary project.
